All is change; all yields its place and goes.
- EPITECTUS
The cows came home from the alp today .... they passed by our house on the narrow cobbled street, bells clanging. Their return heralds for me the almost melancholic change of the season. But it has somehow been a 'wintry' summer - so the chilly days and sight of snow on the mountain tops is even not such a distant memory. But now as I run home there are hues of brown on mountainside ahead so now even the trees will soon change their garb.
Mirroring those changes surrounding us in the nature - comes a feeling of change within .....
For everything there is a time.
And it was 'change' that we had to deal with in The North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc this year.
This kind of says it for me:
The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

More 'thoughts' to follow on the 'dance' of UTMB 2010.

Yesterday night I just came out of the door without a distance to cover, just for the fun of running. Everything starts to flow from the inside and melting with the outside, the breeze from the sea, the sound of the waves breaking at the shore, my own pulse pumping, fueling all my body with a constant supply of life. Yesterday I felt "The runners' freedom".
