My enduring passion is for the mountains and wilderness. Having trained as an environmental scientist I have somehow fallen into the world of ultra and endurance running. My dream is to encourage people to realise the sanctuary of the mountains, the richness of our environment and our responsibility to protect it, and the value of challenging yourself both physically and mentally.

Alpine Trail Running in Chamonix, France

Would you like to run on some mountain trails? We are hosting a training course in the Alps this summer at the end of June .... based in Chamonix, with the option of either a full week from 21st June to the 28th June, or a short week from 21st June to the 24th June.

A beautiful mountain setting, a fully catered chalet with hot tub, and even the possibility of competing in the Mont Blanc Cross at the end of the week (either 10km or half marathon)...!

"Join us running in nature - be inspired by the beauty of the mountains,
challenge yourself and you will find another world."

You can find more information on the Tracks and Trails website.

Hello,
This is a friend of Billi Bierling (from http://www.nepalitimes.com.np/issue/372/Nation/14144).
I just got back from jogging and walking from base camp to Jiri - not by choice really, but bad weather stopped flights (until the next morning that is when I was already on the trail). Actually it was by choice as I was curious to see exactly what your run was like.

Anyway, it was a beautiful run all in all and by Jiri I was fairly finished. Just sitting in the bus for 7 hours was enough, never mind running.

Is a long time ago now but this is to congratulate you on the very ascetically pleasing challenge that you completed.

GAWD I would love to join you. I did the UTMB in 2007 and love running on those trails around Chamonix. I'll be recovering from the Big Horn 100 in late June though. Enjoy and Cheers!

Only just read this, after reading the article about you in the Observer y'day (inspirational stuff!). We were in Chamonix that week, and would have loved to do this. Have you any plans for another weekend/week course in Cham? I live in France, so get there quite frequently...
